This Privacy Policy explains how Wild Kat Adventures ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP/DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Communication data: Messages sent via our contact form or live chat

3. Purpose of Data Processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Camp registration and management: To process bookings, manage attendee lists, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during camp activities
  • Communication: To respond to enquiries, send booking confirmations, and provide camp-related information
  • Payment processing: To process camp registration fees
  • Website improvement: To analyse website usage and improve our services (via Google Analytics)
  • Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on:

  • Contract performance: Processing necessary to fulfil camp registration and service agreements
  • Consent: Where you have given explicit consent (e.g., marketing communications, non-essential cookies)

  • Legal obligation: Where required by Swiss law

5. Data Sharing and Transfers

We may share your data with:

  • Payment processors: To process camp registration payments securely
  • Google LLC (USA): We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage. Google processes data in the United States. This transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Swiss equivalence decisions. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Odoo S.A. (Belgium): Our website platform and booking system provider

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

  • Registration data: Retained for the duration of the camp season plus 3 years for legal and accounting purposes
  • Contact form messages: Retained for up to 2 years
  • Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default)
  • Payment records: Retained for 10 years as required by Swiss commercial law (OR Art. 958f)

7. Your Rights

Under the Swiss nFADP and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Data portability: Receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to data processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption, secure password storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Data

We collect children's data (name, age, medical/dietary information) solely for the purpose of providing safe and appropriate camp services. This data is collected from and with the consent of parents or legal guardians. We take extra care to protect children's data and delete it when no longer needed for camp management purposes.
